Raised in New-Caledonia, she studied medicine at Paris VI university where she also obtained a Master I in microbiology. In 2014, she realized a rotation as resident in PM&R department at UPenn, Philadelphia. She then specialised in general practice and obtained a complementary internship of emergency medicine.
After an expedition in Greenland, she decided to focus her practice on primary health care in remote places, determinants and experience of healthcare linked to culture and isolation, more specifically on remote Pacific islands.
In 2018, she accessed the selective training in aerospace medicine in Paris where she specialized for a year.
Lucille now works in Tahiti. She believes that general practice allows holistic healthcare, and primary healthcare a way to practice either emergency procedures and prevention with the same enthusiasm.
Beside clinics, she conducts medical anthropology research, aiming to adapt healthcare, medical training and prevention campaigns in archipelagos.
Half-marathon runner, diver, skydiver, guitar player and outdoor lover spending a part of her free time hiking mountains and beekeeping, Lucille is also a founder member of âFacteurs Humains en santĂ©â, an interdisciplinary group raising awareness on the importance of human factor in healthcare for better teamwork.
